Returning home

Diary

The wedding and honeymoon went by way too quickly, and we’re having trouble adjusting to the real world……… I’ll post more very, very soon (including photos!), but right now I’m still playing catch-up at home and at work. I just wanted to say a quick hello – we missed you, house bloggers ;) Now that we’ve had a few weeks away from the house, we’re refreshed and ready to plow ahead on our many plans and projects, so we should have some good stuff to post.

I also want to say thank-you to everyone who traveled up to Bar Harbor to celebrate with us. It was an amazing weekend, full of craziness and laughter and love and friends. We’re very lucky to have all of you!

Congratulations newlyweds, now get to work :-)

Seems like my wife and I were married just yesterday, and then the next two and a half years have now flown by, just working on the house. Enjoy the next few months and try to hide the feeling you have right now in the back of your head so that you can take it out and look at it every now and again.

Glad you crazy cats are home safe and sound. The wedding was a blast…so happy for you two! Hope to see you both again soon.
Love,
Eilis

Thanks guys ;)

The past two weeks have been incredible – we had a blast. We spent a week in Bar Harbor, Maine with family and friends preparing for the wedding, and a week bouncing around Florida for our honeymoon. Loved every minute of it!

Our house obsession didn’t die down at all though… I was taking photos of light fixtures at one of the theme parks, and Teague was marveling at the difference in construction practices in Florida, where just about everything was built out of concrete or brick. Probably because it’ll stand up to a hurricane better than wood ;)

We love to hear from you, dear readers.
