Before and After: Porch Electric

I nagged poor Teague about this unsightly mess until he finally got a chance to cut and wire-nut the cables…

This small change makes a big visual difference; it’s also twenty times safer than having fabric-wrapped wires hanging from your porch ceilng. The insurance company (and the neighbors) will be pleased.

Hi Mindy-
My husband and I are the former owners of the house that you admire located at 318 S. Peterboro St. We just moved from there roughly 3 yrs ago. The people who own it now are “into” restoration also……we couldn’t be happier about that!!! Alot of money and hard wrk went into fixing that place…..what does “money pit” mean to you!!! We have an album or 2 of pictures of the inside if you are interested…..my husband loves to talk about it…………he would love to show you. The family that lives there now are Carol Lee and Ed Hartman. I’m sure that they would show you the inside if you happened to walk by while they were outside. Everyone who loves their homes LOVES to talk about them.
We have since moved to Sherrill and have taken on the job of fixing up a Sears kit home (bungalow) from the early 1900’s. Lots of them here in Sherrill. So my magazine subscriptions have changed from “Victorian Homes” to “American Bungalow”….ha ha
Good Luck on your project….

We love to hear from you, dear readers.
